Mexicali, Baja California, September 16 of 2015.- France took control of pool H after beating Cuba in four sets with partials of 25-23, 25-22, 19-25 and 25-16 in the first match of Wednesday session at the State Auditorium.
With this victory France is 2-0 at the classification round in order to finish among the top ten teams of the FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship, while Cuba has not won any match yet.
Jean Patry and Timothée Carle finished with 15 points each as top scorers for France as the main weapons of the European team, while captain Luka Basic registered 11 points.
Nohoraii Paofai, also had a double digit match with 10 points while Thomas Nevot and Luka Basic did a great defensive work.
For Cuba, the best player was Abraham Alfonso Gavilan with 22 points, while Osmany Uriarte closed with 12. France prevailed 10-7 in blocks and 6-3 in serves, with 4 aces by Paofai.
